Miami University softball team begins Mid-American Conference play

The Miami University softball team opened Mid-American Conference play on March 17 at Ohio University. The Redhawks came into their MAC schedule with a 12-8 overall record. 

The Redhawks took two of three at Ohio, before coming home to face Northern Illinois. Miami did not fare well against the Huskies, dropping a three game weekend series. The Redhawks are now 14-12 overall, 2-4 in the MAC.

The Redhawks are also gearing up for the Miami Invitational, April 14-15. The Redhawks will take on Louisville, Oakland and Oklahoma on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Oklahoma is the number one team in the country at 27-1 overall. More information on the Miami Invitational will be available at miamiredhawks.com. 

Ball State and NIU are at the top of the MAC standings, both at 4-1.

Head Coach Carolyn Condit enters her 40th season at the helm of the Miami Volleyball program, with more than 776 career wins. Assistant Coach Tania Schatow is back running the offense for her sixth season with Miami and Brianna McCombs joins the staff as an assistant coach for the 2023 season for her first season with the program.

Miami Volleyball is hosting two spring season matches on Saturday, April 1, 2023 against Hope College at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Millett Hall that are free and open to the public.
