MIAMI COUNTY – One of our new deputies, Hannah Riggs, presented last week to the Law Enforcement Program students at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center in Clayton.
Deputy Riggs graduated from that program a few years ago and then began her career as a Miami County Corrections Officer. More recently, Deputy Riggs graduated from the Edison State Law Enforcement Academy. She was appointed as a deputy sheriff in January.
Her presentation to current students detailed her career path since she graduated, demonstrating that hard work, commitment, and perseverance pay off. We later received several applications for the corrections officer position from students who will be graduating this spring.
