Marjory Rae Swabb, 98 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday December 24, 2022 at 1:30 PM at the Brethren Retirement Community. Marjory was born May 31, 1924 in Boyne Falls, Michigan, the daughter of the late John Joseph and Grace Lillian (Keenholt) O’Connor.
Marjory was a homemaker, seamstress and a tailor. She graduated from Ann Arbor High in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1942 and attended Hamilton Business College in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Michigan State College in Lansing, Michigan. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, the Eagles, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Darke County Art Association. She received numerous awards for her oil and watercolor paintings. Marjory is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kirk Swabb, her son in law, Jerry Vickery; and her sister, Betty Rae O’Connor. Marjory is survived by her children and spouses, Lynnette Vickery, Onda and Carl Francis, Blain and Barbara Swabb, and Brian Swabb and Lori Slater; her grandchildren, Jason Swabb, Jeff Swabb, Josh Swabb, Troy Volies, Patrick Goodpastor, Lora Jo Reichert, Kyle Swabb, Matt Lucas, Angie Lucas, Bryan Lucas, Shannon Kunch, and Christina Francis; 22 great grandchildren.
Services will be held in the spring at Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan, Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
