Lynda Sue Sanner of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw at the age of 71. She suffered a stroke in September of 2022, which put her life on a different path, but she always had the love of her family at her side.
She was born on July 24, 1952, in Greenville, Ohio, to Eileen Edwina (Grimes) Shuttleworth and D.O. Shuttleworth. On March 5, 1994, she married William “Bill” Sanner, and they shared 29 years of marriage before Lynda passed away.
Lynda moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana, in 1992. During her working years, she was the manager of the payphone department for United Telephone Company; later in her life, she worked in group sales for the Wagon Wheel Theater in Warsaw and was a teller at United Telephone Credit Union. She and her husband, Bill, were members of First Christian Church of Warsaw, where they enjoyed the fellowship of their church family. Lynda always had a love of flowers and music and had a deep interest in politics and the goings on of government.
She was detail-oriented and great with her hands, creating her many quilting projects. She loved to travel and was an adventurer who was able to visit ten countries during her lifetime. She never tired of discovering the world around her and seeing God’s beauty everywhere. One of her favorite places to visit was Cancun, Mexico.
Lynda was a wonderful blessing to her sisters, watching out for them and always available if needed. She will forever be remembered for her caring heart, her fun and creative nature, and being a loyal and wonderful friend to many. Lynda will be dearly missed by those who loved her.
She leaves behind her husband, Bill Sanner (Warsaw, IN); son, Eric (Josh) Sanner (Philadelphia, PA); brother, Mark (Diane) Shuttleworth (Spencerville, IN); and two sisters, Sharon Cox (Greenville, OH); Connie Hall (Lady Lake, FL). She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cynthia Lines, and two brothers, Gary and Arthur Shuttleworth.
Lynda’s life will be celebrated with a service at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana, and officiated by Pastor Matthew Rogers. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Abbottsville Cemetery in Arcanum, Ohio, with a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
