Our family and another Greenville family received a pleasant surprise this past week. My niece, Michelle Brumbaugh Jones, became a grandmother for the first time on Oct. 30.
Her son, Buck, and his significant other, Jasmine Trent, brought a new life into this world. The baby was due in December, but, due to some medical difficulties that incurred, doctors decided to take the baby early.
Their daughter, whom they already had named, was born at 4:26 a.m. A preemie, she weighed 2 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 15 inches long.
Already, it sounds like things are looking up for the little girl and she is “growing.”
I love the name. It is Sunni with the middle names of June and Marie. June is the middle name of my sister, Bev, Sunni’s paternal grandmother, and I understand that Marie was the middle name of Jasmine’s deceased sister. What an honor for both of them!
I put Jasmine’s and Sunni’s names on my prayer list last week and I appreciate all of you who helped out with prayers. Keep them up.
That little girl is going to be loved and I hope she lives a long, healthy life. She has a big family whom I’m sure will show her lots of love throughout the years.
I am happy for my niece Michelle and her husband, Bob, as I am Buck and Jasmine and her family members.
And, I believe in miracles.
