Lady Wave tennis falls to Fairborn

GREENVILLE – The Lady Wave Tennis team suffered a 4-1 tough loss to the Fairborn Skyhawks in conference action.

Playing at first singles, Lady Wave sophomore Riley Capasso (10) was defeated by Fairborn senior Corena Schiely 6-7, 6-2, 1-0 (tie-breaker).

Fairborn junior Maddie Becker defeated Greenville junior Maddie Lance, 6-4, 2-6, 0-1 (tie-breaker) in second singles.

Lady Wave sophomore Sienna Gilman earned the lone Greenville win of the night, defeating sophomore Sidnee Holmes 6-1, 6-4.

At first doubles, Greenville’s Haylee Shuttleworth and Meadow Murphy were defeated by Alayna Lomax and Lola Lomax 5-7, 1-6.

Closing out the night at second doubles, Kirsten Horn and Cloe Osborne were defeated by the Lady Skyhawks’ Brynnlee Ball and Lila Malcolm 3-6, 2-6.

The Lady Wave tennis team stands a 5-7 overall and 3-4 in MVL play.
