PIQUA – The Greenville Lady Wave shot a 406-team score at Echo Hills Golf Course to finish third competing in the Covington Lady Buccs Invitational. The Arcanum Lady Trojans placed fourth with a 408, and the Versailles Lady Tigers finished fifth with a 415, nudging out Russia by a single stroke at 416.
“It was a very hot and humid day, but the girls played well,” said Greenville coach Tracy Haines. “I am happy with the scores and continue to see improvement.”
Vera Cox led the Lady Wave with a 93, Taylor Trissel shot a 101 (a personal best for 18 holes), Sofia Chrisman carded a 103, and Callee Moore had a 109. Also playing for the Lady Wave were Ava Good with a 138 and Paityn Lehr with a 139.
