PIQUA – The Greenville Lady Wave golf team traveled to Piqua’s Echo Hills Golf Course to play in the Covington Lady BUCC Invitational and brought home a fifth-place finish on August 4th.
“There are a few things that need to work to improve,” said Greenville coach Tracy Haines, “but overall, the team played well.”
Vera Cox led the Lady Wave with a 72, Sofia Chrisman with an 88, Taylor Trissel with a 111, and Reese Addington with a 116. Also playing for the Lady Wave were Addy Arnett with a 120 and Ayla Weyant with a 144.
A field of 16 teams competed in the Tuesday event, with Greenville’s Vera Cox shooting a personal best with a 72 and tying for Medalist. Cox finished second after a scorecard playoff.
