RICHMOND, IN – The Greenville Girls Golf team travelled to Highland Lake Golf Course in Richmond, Indiana, to play in the National Trail Lady Blazer Invitational.
“This was the first invitational of the year, and overall, it was a good start to the season,” said Greenville coach Tracy Haines. “The girls played well, especially Lyla and Payton, as they are freshmen and it was their first time playing. We will work on putting and the mental part of the game.”
The Lady Wave finished in second place with a 426. Leading the Wave were Vera Cox with a 94, Sofia Chrisman with a 96, Taylor Trissel with a 107, and Lyla Brinley with a 129. Also playing for the Wave were Payton Fourman with a 130 and Kennedy Schoen with a 132. Vera finished third overall, Sofia was fourth overall, and Taylor was eighth overall.
