Lady Wave Golf Downs Xenia

GREENVILLE – The Lady Wave varsity golf team defeated the visiting 198-287 in a Wednesday MVL matchup at Turtle Creek Golf Course.

“The girls played well today and are seeing the benefits of the hard work they are doing at practice,” said Greenville coach, Tracy Haines.

Vera Cox paced Greenville with a 44, Sofia Chrisman carded a 50 and Leah Curtis and Taylor Trissel both shot a 52. Also playing were Callee Moore with a 64 and Reese Addington with a 66.

Cox’s 44 is a personal best for nine holes.

Xenia was led by Austin Poff with a 65; Layla Wheeldon a 73; Megan Poff shot a73 and Casey Harris a 74.

With the win the Lady Wave improve to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
