XENIA – The Greenville Lady Wave golf team traveled to Xenia’s WGC Golf Course on Monday, September 8th, to play an MVL match with the Xenia Lady Buccaneers.
“The girls played well today,” said Greenville coach Tracy Haines. “I am very happy with the way they played.”
Greenville handily won the match by a score of 194-241. The Lady Wave was led by Vera Cox with a 44, Sofia Chrisman with a 46, Taylor Trissel with a 49, and Lyla Brinley with a 55. Also playing for the Lady Wave were Payton Fourman with a 57 and Kennedy Schoen with a 61.
“The match did not start until 5:30, and we almost did not get it completed,” Coach Haines noted. “We were using the flashlights on our phones for the last foursome to see the green on the last hole.
With the win over Xenia, the Lady Wave improves to 8-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
