GREENVILLE — The Greenville seventh-grade volleyball team completed a perfect season Tuesday night, rallying past Tipp City to win the Miami Valley League championship at Greenville Middle School.
The Lady Wave overcame an opening-set loss to defeat the Lady Red Devils 22-25, 25-15, 25-18, finishing the season with a 21-0 record under coaches Carleigh (Cox) Trick and David Peltz.

Playing on their home court, the Lady Wave faced a Tipp City team that finished second in league play. After dropping a closely contested first set, Greenville responded with a 25-15 victory in the second to force a deciding third set.
The Lady Wave carried that momentum into the final set, winning 25-18 to secure the seventh-grade title.
Greenville entered the tournament with an 18-0 record and earned two straight-set victories Saturday, Oct. 17, defeating Mad River in the quarterfinals and Piqua in the semifinals to reach the championship match.

Greenville Middle School hosted the championship rounds for both the seventh and eighth-grade divisions.
Trick and Peltz thanked Green Wave fans for their support throughout the unbeaten season, particularly during the MVL tournament.
