“Great day for Lady Wave Softball,” said Greenville coach, Jerrod Newland. “It was fun at the stadium and just fun to get another punch on the ladder because it takes six to go and that’s two down and four to go.”

Coach Newland had 12 player in tennis shoes rooting on the younger players to their second consecutive perfect game.

They all took advantage of their opportunities. It just makes you smile as a coach to see those kids get hits and jump and happy.”

Greenville kept the game respectable with Coach Newland taking advantage of the “runner leaving the base too soon” for most of the Lady Rams’ outs as the team jumped out to a 3-1 first-inning lead.
