Lady Indians suffer first loss of young season

UNION CITY, Ind. – The Lady Indians fell to the Southern Wells Raiders in their home opener Saturday night by a score of 56-41.

The Indians kept the game close in the first half with a tie score after one and the Indians took a 6-point lead in the 2nd quarter before falling behind by 7 going into the half. The Raiders came out ready to go in the third and outscored the Indians by 5 leaving them down 12 at the end of three. Gabby Ordonez had the hot hand for the Indians hitting four threes and scoring 12 points. Oaklee Reichard had 16 points and went a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line. Ava Reichard pulled down 9 rebounds and added 7 points.

The Indians are 1-1 and will play at home on Wednesday against Randolph Southern. JV will tip at 6 PM.
