GREENVILLE – On Wednesday, January 24th, Koenig Equipment, Inc. in Greenville hosted the annual Darke County FFA Agricultural Power Diagnostics contest. This contest consists of teams of two students working together to diagnose and fix equipment.

As the host site, Koenig employees selected five pieces of equipment that are more than 30 horsepower and no older than ten years old. After selecting the equipment, employees ‘bug’ the equipment with two issues. Employees are the judges and explain to the teams the customer complaints. Each team was given twenty minutes to find and fix the two complaints while giving explanations as to what they found and how they fixed it. Teams bring their own tools and rotate through each station.

Throughout the day, Koenig Equipment, Inc.- Greenville hosted a total of twelve teams across Darke County schools. Schools that participated in the contest included Ansonia, Arcanum MVCTC, Franklin Monroe MVCTC, Greenville, Mississinawa Valley MVCTC, and Versailles. Each school brought two teams each.

Thank you to Mike Sherman for working with the county schools on a date to host and having judges and equipment. Thank you to employees Hunter Beireis, Cade Langenkamp, Zach Coyer, Tyler Etter, and Eric Schepis for judging this event.
