PITSBURG – On May 14, the Joyful Jets 4-H Club met at Trinity Methodist Church in Arcanum for a regularly scheduled 4-H meeting.
The meeting started with a game led by Recreations Leader, Hudson Wehrley. President, Hannah Kendig, called the meeting to order and led the pledges and motto. Secretary, Cheyenne Swisher, did roll call and read minutes from the previous meeting. The Treasurers Report was given by Caleb Wiant.
In Old Business, pay club dues as soon as possible to the club treasurer. In New Business, sign up with Susan to help with Farm Power of the Past to put up signs on either July 10 at 6 pm or to pick up trash on July 15 at 9 am at the fairgrounds. The club voted to continue to sponsor 4-H county award trophies. Anyone can give club project demonstrations at a regular club meeting to share about their 4-H project.
Check the club’s Facebook page for recent 4-H updates, please turn in Trash Bash paperwork as soon as possible so the club can receive payment, the club has camperships available to pay $50 towards the cost of attending 4-H camp please let Susan know if you complete a camp application, check the Darke County 4-H app and the weekly email updates from Mercedes for the latest information about 4-H in Darke County.
Ava Dehart, Caleb Wiant, and Isaac Wiant did public speaking with the new conversation cubes purchased by Krista Fourman, Advisor. May birthdays were recognized, Tim Johnson gave a devotion, and the meeting was adjourned. Members enjoyed refreshments provided by the Dehart and Wiant families.
