JoAnne Rank, 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at Oakley Place Nursing Home in Greenville, Ohio, on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 1:03 AM. JoAnne was born August 31, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, she is the daughter of the late Roscoe and Mildred E. (Locke) Fitzwater.
JoAnne is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her Husband, John Allen Rank, whom she married on June 20, 1964, her infant Sister, Sharon Fitzwater in 1938, and Daughter-in-law, Kimberly E. Walsh-Rank in 2003.
JoAnne is survived by her children, Jeffrey Rank (Roseann Choice) and Jerry (Trisha) Rank. Her grandchildren, Joshua A. Andriacco, Jacob A. (Sojin) Rank, Jessica Rebecca Anne Rank, and Dalton Joseph Allen Rank.
JoAnne was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church for many years and was known to be an avid reader! She loved her family and would always be found at her grandkids ballgames. She absolutely loved to watch them play, but she also enjoyed any kind of live sporting event. JoAnne also was known to have some fun at the casino. She was loved by her family very much and they will miss her dearly. She was a good friend and if you ever had the honor of meeting her, you would understand what a truly remarkable woman she is. She will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank Everheart Hospice, Oakley Place, and Rest Haven for taking great care of JoAnne during her stay with them. Also a special thanks to Rest Haven Rehab United for their tireless efforts over the years with JoAnne. As well as Dr. Sheth and Dr. Dulin and their staff.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Thursday, September 19, 2024, 6-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio with a service to follow on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10:30 AM. The service will be officiated by Pastor Chuck Mackeen.
The family will be laying JoAnne to rest at Palestine Cemetery following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Darke County Cancer Association, Everheart Hospice, or Nashville United Methodist Church in memory of JoAnne.
