Mr. Jim Sommer was recognized at the board meeting on December 21, 2023, after 20 years as a dedicated board member of the Greenville City School District.
In addition to Mr. Sommer’s board service to Greenville City Schools, he was also an active member of the regional and state Ohio School Boards Association, serving throughout his tenure as the student achievement and legislative liaison for the district to OSBA.
Mr. Sommer was on the OSBA Region Executive Committee for 16 years, was a past region OSBA Southwest President, and served on the OSBA Federal Relations network for nine years. He has also served in the past as an OSBA Trustee and on their state executive committee.
