Jeanette “Toots” Jenkinson, age 95 years, 1 month, and 21 days of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at her home in Greenville, Ohio on Saturday, May 12, 2024 at 8:23 AM. Born in Tiffin, Ohio on March 22, 1929 to the late Rosa (Putz) and John Von Wihl.
In addition to her parents, Toots was preceded in death by her Brothers, Kurt and Maurice Von Wihl, and her husband of many years Bill Jenkinson, whom she married on November 11, 1949.
Toots is survived by her Son, Garry Jenkinson, and Granddaughter, Ashley (Benjamin) Schilling. As well as her great-grandchildren, Evan Ellis and Asher Schwer.
Toots was a member of the VFW Aux, the Eagles, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Rosary Alter Society. She enjoyed spending her time at the Casino, camping with her family, and fishing. She loved to mushroom hunt and was quite the baker of cakes! She especially enjoyed reading to the children of St. Mary’s Catholic School whenever she got the opportunity.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the VFW Aux, the Eagles, and the Rosary Alter Society in memory of Toots Jenkinson. The family will be having a Mass Christian Burial, Friday,May 17, 2024 10:30 AM at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 233 West 3rd St. Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Matt Feist Celebrant. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
