Jase Wills is going into the fourth grade at Franklin Monroe Schools and is in the Darke County Rabbit Raisers 4-H Club.
He started as a Cloverbud, and this is his first year showing as a 4-H member.
“I Like getting places,” Jase said. “I also like getting to go to fair.”
Showing is his favorite part of the fair. His favorite rabbit to show is one named Tatertot.
“I like to show Tatertot,” Jase said. “He just like stays there well. He’s just always calm.”
Jase has 13 rabbits with him at the fair this year. Both he and his sister show. They have Flemish giants, Netherland Dwarfs, and Meat Rabbits.
He says they get the rabbits ready to show before they bring them to the fair.
“We trim them like their nails, and we brush them,” Jase said. “You have to tattoo their ears so they get an ear number in there. We have a tattoo gun, so we do it ourselves.”
