Jane Elizabeth Kendall, age 84, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Oakley Place in Greenville.
Born on April 11, 1941, to the late James and Elizabeth (Synder) Wiley. Jane spent her life in the heart of Arcanum, where she graduated from Arcanum High School and went on to serve her community with unwavering dedication.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Kendall, who passed away on October 18, 2011.
Jane is survived by her children, Lisa (Dave) Greene of Springboro, and Bryan (Angela Zwick) Harshbarger of Vandalia; her grandchildren, Zachary (Leah) Greene, Brianna (Cory) Crabtree, and Kyndra (James) Brady; her great grandchildren, Lily, Emma, and Kinsley; her sister, Sue (Zane) Baker of Pitsburg; her stepchildren, Teresa Neitzelt and Carla Kendall; several step grandchildren; and several step great grandchildren.
Jane devoted 27 years of her professional life as a bank teller at Greenville National Bank, retiring in 2006. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of countless customers, and her legacy of service will not be forgotten. In her early years, Jane was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church in Arcanum, where she found fellowship and camaraderie with those she loved.
As an avid gardener, Jane found joy in tending to her flowers and nurturing her yard, creating vibrant spaces that reflected her bright personality. A passionate sports fan, she could always be found rooting for her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds, the Bengals, and, of course, the Arcanum Trojans, enjoying both the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it brought.
Above all, Jane was a devoted family woman. She found immense joy in caring for and spoiling her children and grandchildren, nurturing their lives with her abundant love and unwavering support. Her family was her pride and joy, and she left behind a bond that will forever hold them together.
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery.
Guests may visit with her family on Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
