UNION CITY – On the evening of May 12, the Jackson Friendship 4-H club held a meeting in the MV concession area. The meeting was called to order at 7:04 PM BY Cadence Burke. Members answered the roll call question, What is the hardest part of your 4-H project?” There were no devotions, secretary report, health and safety report or treasurers’ report at this meeting.
Members played a matching game. Everyone was given a question and an answer and then had to find the person who had the match to the question or answer.
The old business was that QA needs to be completed by June 1. Also, 840 tags and the paperwork need to be turned in by June 1. After that, we reminded everyone that shirt order forms will be emailed this weekend and will be due by June 9.
The new business was to remind everyone that skill training practice will be held at the next meeting. There will be skillathon kits available for every species of animal taken by members.
The adviser reports were that members showing swine need to work the ring at the Jackpot Show on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30. Members were also told to look at the Darke County Jr. Fair website for updates.
The motion to adjourn was made by Emily Thomas and seconded by Riley Thomas. The meeting was adjourned at 7:33 PM.
The next meeting will be held at Harter Park on June 9 at 7:00 PM.
