DARKE COUNTY – On the evening of June 9 at 7:00 pm the Jackson Friendship 4-H club started the meeting off by doing a skill-a-thon practice.
The meeting was called to order at 7:39 pm by Troy Lavy. The pledges were also done by Lavy. There were no devotions at this meeting. The roll call question was “Where’s your favorite place to eat in Greenville?” There was no secretary’s report at this meeting, but there was a treasurer’s report. The health and safety report was to wear sunscreen.
The old business was to turn in t-shirt orders and use the QR code to get a Jr. Fair pass.
The new business was that Jr. Fair entries are due July 21. The penalty is $100.00 if turned after July 21 through July 26. No more entries will be accepted after July 26 without exception. Also, the Jr. Fairboard applications are on dcjrfair.com and the Jr. Fair King and Queen applications are on the same site. The Open Show entries are on the Jr. Fair site also. Lastly, the project presentation day is July 11 for non-livestock projects.
There were no adviser reports.
The next meeting will be June 23, 2025, at Harter Park at 7:00 pm.
The motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Colton Longnecker and seconded by Emily Thomas. The meeting was adjourned at 7:53 pm.
