GREENVILLE – The Rolling 50’s Classics held its 44th Annual Mother’s Day Cruise-In with a large turnout of cars and trucks on display in the parking lot in front of Greenville’s Harbor Freight.
Perfect skies greeted Greenville’s first car show of the 2025 season, drawing vehicles and spectators from across the area.
“We are very pleased with the turnout today because they make the show, it’s not us, we just put it on, they come out,” said Rolling 50’s President Stanley Duncan. “The people really turned out.”
Cars and trucks on display came from Piqua, Troy, West Manchester, Arcanum, Bluffton, Indiana, and many other surrounding communities.
“We had a lot of nice cars here,” Duncan said. “Several million dollars sitting here.”
Duncan said the local car community continues to play an important role in preserving the classic car tradition.
“We have a lot of cars from Darke County keeping the spirit alive,” he said. “It would be a shame if we went to all-electric cars.”
Duncan also thanked those who continue to support the annual event.
“We want to thank all the sponsors from the past years and the future years,” Duncan said. “Without you guys, it wouldn’t be possible. Thank you very much and God bless you.”
Rolling 50’s Secretary Amanda Fischer said the club was pleased with the turnout and noted the show carried special meaning this year.
“We have beautiful weather and a lot of cars out here today,” Fischer said. “A lot of new faces and as always we dedicate our shows to past, present and future veterans. This show is in memory of Ron Stephens. We lost him in November. He was an original Rolling 50’s member for 44 years – we’re in memory of Ron.”
Stephens served in the Ohio National Guard and was a charter member of the Rolling 50’s Car Club.
