ANSONIA – LifeWise Ansonia, in partnership with the Ansonia Foundation, is proud to announce the groundbreaking of a new building that will serve as both the home of the LifeWise program and a valuable gathering space available for community use.
This milestone project has been made possible thanks to the generosity of local donors and the tremendous success of the Dancing with the Stars of Ansonia gala fundraiser.
Together, these efforts have brought the vision of a shared educational and community space to life.
LifeWise Ansonia, a program dedicated to providing character-based, Bible education to students during school hours, will benefit greatly from having a dedicated space to carry out its mission.
In addition, through the Ansonia Foundation, the new building will be available to rent for events, meetings, and celebrations, serving as a hub for connection and growth in the community.
“This new facility represents more than just bricks and mortar,” said Ron Barga II, LifeWise and Ansonia Foundation Board Member. “It symbolizes the generosity of our supporters, the dedication of our community, and the shared belief that Ansonia thrives when we invest in both our youth and in spaces that bring people together.”
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 25, 2025, at 120 W. Cross Street, Ansonia, Ohio. LifeWise teachers, board members, and students were in attendance, as well as the Ansonia Foundation Board of Directors.
“We’re thrilled to see this building come to fruition,” shared Shelby Rowland, LifeWise Ansonia Director. “This project reflects the heart of Ansonia, people coming alongside each other to invest in the next generation and in the future of our town.”
