GREENVILLE – The Green Wave varsity boys tennis team swept the Fairborn Skyhawks 5-0 in MVL action to improve to 4-3on the season.

“We looked sharp as a team tonight,” said Greenville coach Sam Bowers. “Everybody hitting the ball extremely well & enjoyed a beautiful evening of tennis. It was nice to get back to matches after bad luck with rain this spring so far.”

Winning matches for Greenville included singles matches of Mason Pierri, Kaitlin Combs and Daniel Kerns. The doubles teams of Simon Snyder / Drew Beisner and Avery Yount / Eli Willis as well.

“Kaitlin Combs playing up and getting a big; dominant win at second singles when she has typically played the third slot for us,” Coach Bowers noted. “Then, Freshmen, Daniel Kerns stepping up and winning big at third singles in dominate fashion also. Drew Beisner and Simon Snyder seem to be really coming together as a doubles team, holding down our first doubles slot, and I feel like they have a lot of good tennis in front of them this season.”
