GREENVILLE – Greenville defeated the Valley View Spartans in a tight 3-2 non-conference match to improve to 10-3 on the 2025 varsity tennis season.
“A win is a win,” said Greenville coach Sam Bowers. “This was a really good team and really good tennis program. We were able to get the team win to keep a nice little win streak of six straight matches alive.”
Winning for the wave were Mason Pierri at 1st Singles ( 6-2, 6-4, Drew Beisner at 3rd Singles (7-5, 6-4), and the Doubles Team of Silas Lacey / Kaitlin Combs (2-6, 6-3, 6-0).
“We had Eli Willis missing from our starting lineup due to sickness, so we had kids step up to play out of regular positions, such as Drew Beisner stepping up to play singles and picking up a big, must-have win for us,” Bowers stated. “Proud of this team. They are fun to watch and coach!”
