GREENVILLE – The Greenville Green Wave Boys and Girls soccer teams celebrated their graduating Seniors on Tuesday night, September 22nd.
It was a chilly evening, with a heavy mist coming down at the Greenville Alumni Stadium – lots of umbrellas and blankets could be seen in the stands. The Lady Wave team has four Seniors on their roster, all being Captains for the team: Brooklyn Crampton, #99, Goalie; Sami Elam, #22, Forward; Lauren Wills, #21, Defender; and Carlee Yundt,#25, Forward
The Green Wave Boys have only one Senior on their roster this season: Leland Hess, #20, Defender
On this ‘double-header night’, both the boys and girls faced off against the visiting Pirates of West Carrollton. The boys started the evening, having the 5:30 pm game. Unfortunately, the boys couldn’t pull off a win on Senior night, ending the evening with a final score of 0-6. The girls were able to overcome both the weather and the Lady Pirates, getting the “W” on Senior night, with a final score of 3 – 1.
