GREENVILLE – Sara Loudy, GHS Class of 2026, has signed to play volleyball for the UNOH Lady Racers. She has played
volleyball with the Greenville Lady Wave program during Junior High and all four years at GHS. Loudy has also played for the past six years with the Grandlake Volleyball Club based out of Celina, Ohio. Playing the position of libero for the Lady Wave, she had the honor of being chosen for Second Team MVL.
When asked to share any memories of her volleyball career at Greenville, Sara said that she enjoyed playing with her friends,
especially the other four seniors on the team. Loudy said that she appreciated having Coaches Michelle Hardesty & Jim Hardesty
with her during her volleyball career, both in high school and her six years with club volleyball.
While at the University of Northwestern Ohio, she will be pursuing a four-year degree in business administration with a minor
in marketing.
Sara has met most of her soon-to-be teammates during her visits to UNOH and will be working with the team this summer as the college puts on several volleyball youth camps to help hone the skills of younger athletes. Loudy has met head coach Bill Bonham, and they have blended well. This will be Coach Bonham’s second year with UNOH, but he has brought with him an impressive resume, with a 30-year coaching career through high school, collegiate, and club volleyball. He was previously the head coach at St. Johns River State College in Florida. The University of Northwestern Ohio is a NAIA college and is part of the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).
