GREENVILLE – Kindyl has signed to play volleyball for the Capital University Lady Comets athletic program. She has played volleyball with the Greenville Lady Wave program during Junior High and her four years at GHS. During her time with the Lady Wave, she set new school records for most career assists and most aces served. Peltz has also played for the Grandlake club volleyball program for many years.
While at Capital University in Columbus, Kindyl will pursue a four-year degree in psychology with a minor in graphic art.
When asked what her most outstanding thought was about her high school volleyball career, Kindyl quickly answered, “making the varsity team her freshman year.” Kindyl said she has a great appreciation for Coaches Michelle Hardesty & Jim Hardesty, who pushed her to a higher level of play each year, helping her hone her skills as a setter and server. When asked what she will miss the most about her time with the Green Wave volleyball program, Peltz said she’ll miss playing with her teammates Sara Loudy, Kyndall Burke, Lily Brubaker, and Shyanne Gibboney.
Peltz also shared her thoughts on the Lady Comets, after meeting the team during her recent visits to the Capital campus: “They were very welcoming and very supportive – I think it will be a great fit.”
Coaches Michelle and Jim had nothing but praise when asked about Kindyl, “We are proud to have had her through both high school volleyball and club volleyball. She rarely missed practices, always kept her goals in mind and continued to set new goals for herself. Her teammates looked up to Kindyl and respected her as a leader (team captain). She had several colleges that were pursuing her – we are glad that she chose Capital, it’s a good choice for her, both athletically and academically”.
