Greenville Public Library Announces Library Card Art Contest Winner

GREENVILLE – The Greenville Public Library is excited to announce Benjamin Shepherd, age 14, as the winner of its Library Card Art Contest, held in September in celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month.

The contest invited children and teens under the age of 18 to showcase their creativity by submitting original artwork for the library’s card art contest. The library received amazing entries from talented young artists ranging in age from 11 to 17.

After reviewing the submissions, Benjamin Shepherd was selected as the winner, receiving the highest number of votes from the library team. The voting process proved to be a difficult decision, as the team was impressed by the creativity and talent displayed in every entry. Each submission was wonderful, making it challenging to choose just one winner.

The Greenville Public Library would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated. We are proud of all the young artists who shared their creativity with us and helped make this contest a success.

Community members are invited to stop by the library to view all the contest entries on display on the first floor in the Children’s Area, across from the circulation desk. The display is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the artistic talents of the young people in our community.

The Greenville Public Library congratulates Benjamin on his winning entry and thanks all participants for helping celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and the creativity, imagination, and community spirit that make the library special.
