DISORDERLY
September 8, 2025 – At approximately 0043 hours, I was dispatched to 435 Tecumseh Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331 in reference to a report of a subject being disorderly.
Prior to my arrival, the complainant and victim in this case (James Moore) advised dispatch that the subject was a guy with the last name Reed. Earlier in the night, I had two separate encounters with Joseph Reed (the offender), where he was warned for disorderly conduct.
During those encounters, P.0. Ward, P. O. Nibert, and I observed Joseph to be highly intoxicated. Upon my arrival at the above-mentioned address, I observed Joseph on the front porch of the residence breaking the window next to the front door with his bare hands.
I exited from my cruiser and immediately started towards Joseph, advising him to show me his hands. Joseph took off running to the East of the residence, then continued northbound in the church parking lot next door to the above-mentioned address. I observed Joseph fall down into the gravel parking lot approximately three times. While Joseph continued to flee, I shouted multiple times for him to stop and put his hands up. Joseph entered the backyard of 423 Tecumseh and it was at that point I lost sight of Joseph. P.O.M. Colby arrived on scene shortly after and we began searching the area for Joseph. We made our way around the residence of 423 and stepped into the roadway on Tecumseh. It was at this time, P. O. M. Colby and I heard a noise coming from a nearby bush located behind 722 East Fourth Street. I made my way towards the bush and observed a subject hiding in the bushes. I called out to Joseph and began giving commands for him to put his hands up. I observed Joseph take off running south, in between the residence of 722 East Fourth and a fence. I ran after Joseph, giving him commands to stop before catching up to him and escorting him to the ground. I ordered Joseph to roll over onto his stomach and place his hands behind his back. Joseph attempted to stand up and was obstructing my detainment of him.
I advised Joseph once more to place his hands behind his back. It was at this time that P. O. M. Colby and I were able to detain Joseph and place him into handcuffs which were gap checked and double locked.
I rolled Joseph onto his side and escorted him onto his feet from there. I observed Joseph to have multiple abrasions on his face and hands. I escorted Joseph towards my cruiser and advised him of his Miranda Rights. I asked Joseph if he understood those rights, to which he replied yes. I placed Joseph in the back seat of my cruiser. P. O. M. Colby had begun talking to James and the other subjects who were present during this incident. I made my way over to them as well.
James advised that Joseph was extremely intoxicated and was acting erratically. James stated he observed Joseph punch Shannon Antaramian (Joseph’s fiancée) through a crack in the doorway. James advised that Joseph come after him and James, in turn, defended himself by punching Joseph.
James stated it was shortly after this occurred when Joseph punched his window and broke it into multiple pieces. Joseph does not live with James nor own any property at 435 Tecumseh; therefore, he had no right to break the window. Kristopher Crowell was a witness to the above-mentioned statement from James.
I spoke with Shannon and asked her if she would like to fill out a victim’s rights form as well. I observed Shannon to have an abrasion on her right forearm with bleeding and severe irritation around the wound, as well as a bruise on the left side of her face that I did not observe during the two prior incidents earlier in the night. Shannon advised she did not want to pursue charges.
Shannon does have a four-month-old infant (Xavier M. Perkins) who was present during this incident. Child Protective Services was notified. Shannon and Joseph are in a romantic relationship but do not have any shared children, nor do they live together.
I spoke with Joseph and Joseph mentioned that Shannon was holding her four-month-old child standing next to him on the porch when he punched the window. This created a risk of physical harm to Shannon and the infant, as the window could have caused physical harm to either of them when it was shattered.
Joseph was checked by Greenville Township Rescue before I transported him to the Darke County Jail. Jail personnel advised that they wanted Joseph to go to the hospital due to the severity of injuries to his lip. I transported Joseph to Wayne HealthCare, where the Doctor ran a Head CT scan and monitored Joseph’s vitals for approximately two and a half hours. Joseph was then discharged with no medical intervention being needed. I transported
Joseph to the Darke County Jail a second time, where he is currently incarcerated on pending charges of Criminal Damaging, Obstruction, and Disorderly Conduct.
Joseph, while voluntarily intoxicated, did knowingly cause a substantial risk of harm to the property of another, while also creating a risk of harm to himself and those around him, by shattering the glass window, where a four-month-old infant was in the direct debris field of, enhancing the criminal damaging charge to a misdemeanor of the first degree. Joseph had been warned on two separate occasions, within only a few hours of this incident, of his disorderly conduct and knowingly continued to engage in the disorderly conduct.
When Joseph was ordered by officers to stop, he chose to continue to run and hide near the properties around where the incident occurred, hindering and delaying officers from performing their duties, and forcing other calls occurring to have to be placed on hold.
GUNSHOTS
September 4, 2025 – At approximately 11:10 pm, I was dispatched to the area of Ash Street and 3rd Street in reference to gunshots.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with Claire Sherman, who stated that she heard several loud noises, appearing to be gunshots. She was unsure exactly how many but stated that she thought it was two or three gunshots and possibly squealing tires right after.
Upon patrolling the area further, we were flagged down by multiple neighbors with almost identical information. We continued to patrol the area and P.O. Wentworth at approximately 2330 hours found 4 9mm shell casings on the road in the intersection of Locust Street and East 3rd Street. It appeared that the bullets were fired into the road and curb due to there being multiple indentations on the blacktop and concrete, where we discovered a possible bullet fragment. We also discovered a skid mark starting approximately 25 feet away from the shell casings.
All evidence was photographed. The four shell casings and the bullet fragment were collected as evidence and placed into the GPD property.
PARKING COMPLAINT
September 6, 2025 – At approximately 1:40 pm, I was working an event on South Broadway and had two parking complaints about two vehicles parked in a no-parking zone.
Both vehicles were parked in a no-parking zone past 1300 hours, while there were signs posted two days prior, leading up to the event stating no parking past 1300 hours on September 9th, 2025. Dispatch attempted to call each registered owner but there was no answer for either owner.
Saunders responded and towed both vehicles to their impound lot, being parked in a no-parking zone when signs are posted. I issued a parking ticket for each vehicle for the parking zone when signs are posted and placed the tickets inside each vehicle.
THEFT
September 5, 2025 – At approximately 12:03 pm, I responded to 420 West Third Street in reference to a theft not in progress.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with the victim, Franklin Ball. Franklin advised that he and his wife, Nicole Lutz, are in the process of moving and came back to the residence to gather some items and remove their parked vehicles from the roadway. Nicole advised that she noticed items missing from the bed of their blue pickup truck, Ohio license plate HOB2625.
Nicole stated she received messages from a neighbor with a doorbell camera showing a male driving a lawnmower opening the tailgate of the vehicle and removing the items from the bed of the truck. Upon viewing the video, I was able to identify the subject in the video as Bradley Davis. The items missing from the back of the truck include: a car battery $200.00, miscellaneous trampoline parts $230.00, a fire ring $100.00, and a picnic table $60.00, totaling to approximately $590.00 in stolen items. Franklin advised that he did not wish to pursue charges at this time, but if his items could be returned, he would pursue charges.
P. O Wolfe made contact with Bradley in front of Hot Head Burritos, 1324 Wagner Avenue, at approximately 1450 hours. P.O. Wolfe advised that Bradley stated the items he gathered from the truck had already been taken to a scrapyard in Gettysburg, Ohio. I contacted Nicole and advised her and Franklin of their items being scrapped, which they stated they wished to pursue charges at this time.
I spoke to Bradley at the Greenville Police Department at approximately 1630 hours. Bradley advised a neighbor, who does not own the items or the truck, to take the items from the truck. Bradley was advised the neighbor does not own the items or truck and can not give permission to take another person’s property.
Bradley was issued a citation for theft and advised of his mandatory court date and time.
The doorbell video will be attached to this report. Franklin completed a statement and victim rights form and returned them to me.
WARRANT
August 29, 2025 – At approximately 6:41 pm I apprehended a known wanted
person.
On the above date and time, I had prior knowledge that Jeremy Jones had a warrant for his arrest. As I was on routine patrol, I noticed the garage door at 110 Sixth St open. This address is where Jeremy currently lives. I was able to identify Jeremy Jones standing inside the garage. I exited my cruiser and made contact with Jeremy and advised him he had a warrant out of Logan County for failure to appear on non-support of a dependent, no bond.
Jeremy was placed in handcuffs that were gap-checked and double-locked. I transported Jeremy to the Darke County Jail where he was released to jail staff. The back seat of my cruiser was checked prior to and after the transport.
August 29, 2025 – At approximately 7:49 pm I dispatched to 225 Birt St. in reference to hypodermic needles being found.
Upon my arrival at the listed address, officers made contact with Jacob Marando who was known to have a warrant out of the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. Dispatch confirmed that Jacob had an active warrant for failure to appear with no bond.
I placed Jacob in handcuffs, which were gap-checked and double-locked. Jacob was searched incident to arrest and no contraband was found. Jacob was transported to Darke County Jail, where he was incarcerated. I checked my cruiser before and after transport and no contraband was found.
September 5th, 2025 – At approximately 6:28 pm I was dispatched to 609 Walnut St. #16 in reference to a wanted person.
Upon my arrival at the listed address, I made contact with Makayla Cain, who advised that Jamie Saylor, who was known to have a warrant out of the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, was in the apartment showering with her boyfriend, Leroy Crawford. Dispatch confirmed through LEADS/NCIC that Jaime had an active warrant for Failure to Appear with a bond of $525.
I placed Jaime in handcuffs, which were gap-checked and double-locked. Jaime was searched incident to arrest, and no contraband was found. Jaime was transported to Darke County Jail where she was incarcerated. I checked my cruiser before and after transport and no contraband was found.
September, 9 2025 – At approximately 2:25 pm. I arrived at 419 Wagner Avenue. Reference a possible location of a wanted person.
Prior to our arrival, P.O. Wolfe who was familiar with the wanted subject, Hannah Hodge, ran her through LEADS/NCIC and confirmed she had an active felony warrant through the Darke County Sheriff’s Office on a probation violation on an original charge of Trafficking of Drugs.
P.O. Wolfe and I made contact with Hodge, who was the subject in question. PO Wolfe advised Hodge of the warrant and placed her under arrest and in handcuffs, which were double locked and gap checked. P.O. Wolfe read Hodge her Miranda Rights, which she acknowledged that she understood. During this time, Hodge advised that she had found some pills near the dumpster at the listed location and that they were in her pocket. She claimed that they were not hers and that she was going to inform her manager about the discovery but did not.
Hodge was searched incident to arrest and the pills were located. Please see report 25-G01232 for further.
Hodge was transported to Darke County Jail where she was received by jail staff and incarcerated for her warrant.
September 9, 2025 – At approximately 6:47 pm, I apprehended a known wanted subject.
On the above date and time, I was made aware that Gary Williams, who is a known wanted person, was inside Walmart. As I parked outside of the pharmacy doors of Walmart, I observed Gary Williams exit the store. I was able to positively ID Gary from prior involvement and made contact with Gary. Gary attempted to jog away and say he wasn’t Gary. He then jogged to a van in the BDUBS parking lot and attempted to close the door. I advised him that he had a warrant for his arrest and he was going to jail. After a few minutes of arguing, Gary stepped out of the van and I placed him into handcuffs that were gap-checked and double-locked.
Dispatch was able to confirm the warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving under suspension, bond $1025.00. Gary was placed into the back seat of my cruiser and transported to the Darke County Jail where he was released to jail staff. Gary also admitted to knowing he had a warrant.
