reference to a disorderly conduct. The caller, Grace Hollycross, advised that her boyfriend, Darren Callihan, was highly intoxicated and would not leave her alone.
I arrived on scene and made contact with Grace, who advised that they were staying the night with Darren’s brother and that they lived out of town. Grace advised her father, who lived in Bellefountain, could come get her for the evening to avoid any further arguments with Daren. Grace stated that she and Darren were dating and shared a child together; however, the child was not present with them at the time of this incident. Grace stated they had gotten into a verbal argument; however, nothing physical occurred and Grace felt like separating for the night would solve the problem. I transported Grace to the lobby of the Police Department to wait for her father to pick her up. Darren remained at his brother’s residence on N Ohio.
No school-aged children were present during the time of this incident.

Frankie exited the residence and waited by his vehicle. Frankie stated he had text messages and phone calls from Anna telling him to come over and get the kids. Frankie allowed me to look through their messages. Upon reviewing the messages, I was unable to find any text messages that Anna had sent telling him to come over and get the children.

HARRASSMENT
November 20th, 2025 – At approximately 6:48 pm, I was dispatched to 221 N Main St. in a harassment complaint.
Caller, Josh Barlow, stated he received text messages from a number stating they were a subject named James Warvel and that he was going to “kill his kids.” The text also stated that the “kids are dead on the floor,” and that if Josh goes to Winchester, then they were going to find him and kill him.
Josh stated he doesn’t know the number and that he knows it isn’t James Warvel doing it because he already spoke to Winchester PD. Josh believes the messages are coming from a Ronald Mills or Chris Garner because they are friends, dating his ex-wife, Leann Barlow. Josh doesn’t have any proof of this or any information on these subjects. Josh stated that he called his ex-wife, Leann Barlow and said that she told him the text came from her son, Mason Jones. Josh also stated that Leann told Josh to just drop it.
Due to the threats toward the kids, I contacted Leann and made her aware of everything.
Leann stated that the kids were with her and ok. I asked Leann if she knew anything about the messages Josh was receiving and she stated no, and that she didn’t recognize the number either. I attempted to call the number as well and it was disconnected every time.
Josh was made aware of what Leann told me; I advised Josh that if it is Leann’s son, then they are sending these messages because they know it causes a reaction out of him. Josh stated he knew that and he just wanted everything documented at this time. I told Josh to block the number and to stop communicating with them.
THEFT
November 22nd, 2025 – At approximately 8:48 am, I was dispatched to 402 Fair Street in reference to a stolen temporary license plate.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with Tara Brown, Tara advised that while making deliveries for Insta Cart, she noticed her Temporary registration was not on her vehicle at approximately 8:30 am.
Tara stated her husband last drove the car and saw the license plate on the vehicle around 0400 hours this morning. Tara advised that she went to Walmart in Greenville around 6:00 am and it may have been taken off during that time. I observed a doorbell camera on their residence facing the vehicle. When asking if it had picked anything up, Tara advised she watched the camera footage and it did not pick anything up.
After speaking with Tara, I went to Walmart and checked the security video.
In the video, I observed Tara parking in front of the grocery side pickup and exiting her car. Approximately 45 minutes later, she returned to her vehicle. When driving away, I was unable to tell if the license plate was on the vehicle due to the camera quality.
During the time Tara was inside of the store, there was nobody else in the area of her vehicle.
The license plate is an Indiana temporary plate bearing 6861113 and has been entered into LEADS/NCIC as stolen. I will follow up with this case when new evidence is available.
WARRANT
November 21, 2025 – At approximately 3:22 pm, I was on routine patrol when I observed the listed vehicle traveling southbound on Warren Street and stopped at the intersection of Warren Street and Martin Street.
I observed that the vehicle had failed to stop behind the white stop bar. As I pulled onto Warren Street, I observed the driver to be Rocky Yoder whom I have knowledge that his Ohio driving privileges were suspended.
I conducted a traffic stop for the above-mentioned violation. As the vehicle stopped, both Rocky and his passenger, Dwight Karnehm, exited the vehicle. I had prior knowledge that Dwight had an active warrant for his arrest through the Greenville Police Department for failure to appear for a Driving Under Suspension. Dwight advised that he knew he had a warrant and was detained in handcuffs, which were double-locked and gap-checked.
Dwight’s warrant was confirmed through LEADS/NCIC by GPD dispatch.
Dwight was transported to the Darke County Jail by P. O. Slade and incarcerated for his warrant.
I ran Rocky through LEADS/NCIC and confirmed his Ohio driving privileges were under a Non-Compliance Suspension from 12/01/2023 to Indefinite and a Judgement Suspension from 09/13/2006 to Indefinite.
Rocky was issued a citation for driving under suspension and released.

I advised Lanny to stand up and place his hands behind his back, to which he complied. Lanny’s OH OL was checked for identification. I placed handcuffs on Lanny that were gap-checked and double-locked.
Lanny was escorted out of the church and to the front of my cruiser, 1946, where he was patted down, with no contraband located. Lanny was placed in the back of my cruiser and transported to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. The back of my cruiser was checked before and after transport, with nothing located.
Lanny was handed over to the Darke County Corrections staff and incarcerated on his active warrant for the original charge of aggravated menacing, to serve 180 days.
