Greenville Orchestras and GHS Choirs present “The Rhythm Rising Tour”

GREENVILLE – The Greenville High School Vocal Music Department and the Greenville Orchestra Department are excited to host Electrify Your Symphony 2026, “The Rhythm Rising Tour” at Greenville High School on Saturday, March 14th, at 7:00 pm in the GHS Gymnasium.

Special guests to appear are Mark Wood, an original string master of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and his wife, Laura Kaye, a vocalist who has worked with Aretha Franklin and James Brown. Known as an International Zumba Instructor and for his work with MTV, Nathan Blake will also be staging and choreographing the event.

This show will be the rock show of the ages. The GHS Gymnasium will be transformed into a rock concert venue with incredible lighting and sound effects. The combined orchestras and choirs will open the show with “We Will Rock You”. The orchestras will be performing the following selections with Mark Wood: “Back in Black”, “Here Comes the Sun”, “Kashmir”, and “Sweet Child O Mine”. The choirs will perform the following selections with Laura Kaye and Nathan Blake: “Counting Stars”, “Flowers”, “There’s Only One Way to Rock” and “Renegade”. The combined orchestras and choirs will close the night out with a grand finale mash-up of “Anyway You Want It” and “Don’t Stop Believin’”.

Tickets for this event are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students/children and faculty, and free for ages 3 and under. Tickets go on sale on Monday, February 9, at 8:00 am, and can be purchased by scanning the QR code on the poster or by going directly to the website: tinyurl.com/eys-greenville26. The Orchestras are directed by Mr. JR Price and the choirs are directed by Mrs. Chelsea Whirledge and accompanied/assisted by Mr. Christopher Andres.
