GREENVILLE – The fourth annual No Varsity 3v3 Basketball Tournament was won by Sidney’s Jy Wheeler, Samuel Reynolds, and A’zon Steele for the second consecutive year to earn $300 for the first-place finish. Sidney defeated Union City by three points in the championship game of the 2025 tournament.
Teams came from Greenville, Franklin Monroe, Union City, IN, Troy, Sidney, and Cincinnati for the Saturday event.

No Varsity, LLC is the brainchild of three Greenville Senior High School graduates, Noah Walker, holder of the 3-point record for the Green Wave, Simeon King, and Desmond Thompson.
“We formed No Varsity LLC four years ago,” Walker noted. “We’re hosting events through it, giving back to the community the best we can, selling shirts, helping local artists.”

Walker, a manager for Great Wolf Lodge in Charlotte, NC, has had stops in Naples, FL, Mason, OH, and other locations around the country, and returns home each year to spearhead the yearly event at Greenville’s North Park basketball courts.
“I’ve been moving around with my job,” said Walker. “This is the fourth year, and all of those four years, I have not lived near Greenville, so I plan to make the trip back for this as long as I can.”

Walker thanked his parents, Shellie and Chet Walker, as well as Double M Diner and Walker Construction, for providing food for the day.
