GREENVILLE – The Green Wave boys’ golf team opened the 2025 season hosting 14 teams and two Greenville teams to open season play.
The Troy Trojans placed first, followed by second-place Beavercreek and third-place Tippecanoe. Greenville placed seventh, Arcanum 11th, and Newton finished 12th. The Greenville B team placed 16th.
“Very happy with the way we played today,” said Greenville coach Brian Stickel. “Drew had a 28-hole best score today. Sophomore Hayden Null had a solid round. Freshman Braxton Moore, in his first varsity match, shoots an 81, which is very impressive. Brody Weaver had a nice round.”
Greenville was led by Drew Beisner with a 78, Hayden Null shot an 81, Brody Weaver carded an 87, Braxton Moore finished with an 81, Chilly Jasenski a 87, and Colton Dickman a 98.
In the second group, the Burns boys, Hayden and Hunter, played decently and will improve as the season goes on.”
Luke Stephens paced Arcanum with a 79, Kaiden Hickey shot a 90, Cooper Tegtmeyer a 105, Daniel Kerns carded a 91, and Kale Kramer shot a 102.
