GREENVILLE – Greenville Farm Power of the Past will be celebrating its 26th Annual Reunion on the Darke County Fairgrounds starting tomorrow and running through July 13. The annual event features hundreds of antique tractors, equipment, stationary gas engines, oil field engines, and many special events.
Over 80 vendors have already reserved their spot in the Coliseum or outdoor locations. There will be a large variety of food available, too.
This year’s features are Oliver and Case tractors and equipment, Michigan-Built gas engines, and Oil Field engines. Special guests will be the Buckeye Oliver Collectors and the Oil Field Engine Society. In addition to the numerous activities scheduled throughout the weekend, the Veterans Building on the fairgrounds will be open as well.
A new event this year is a poster contest for ages 5-18. In recognition of the Peterson Farm Brothers, who will be appearing at 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 10, the poster theme is “We Count on Farmers.” The posters should be 12” x 18” in size and submitted to the show office (the Speed Office on the fairgrounds) from July 7 to no later than 5:00 PM on July 10. Posters will be judged in age groups 5-9, 10-14, and 15-18; and judged on content, originality, and neatness. The Petersons are appearing through the sponsorship of Keystone/CountryMark, Apple Farm Services, North Star Hardware & Implement, and Aaron Overholser-Beck’s Dealer.
Admission is $5.00 per person, per day. Kids 12 and under are admitted free. A membership/gate pass is $10.00 per person. There is a $10.00 registration fee for golf carts.
