GREENVILLE – The Green Wave boys eighth graders faced the Piqua Indians (Blue Team) in the semi-final round of the MVL Jr High Tournament Monday and came away with a 6-1 win.
Both teams struggled to put runs on the board in the first three-innings, with a score of 1 – 1. Greenville plated 3 runs in the fourth-inning and another two in the sixth-inning, clinching the win with a final score of 6-1. Pitcher Cole Marshal, No. 23, was in control of the mound for the Green Wave.
Greenville will enter the Championship game Tuesday night, May 9th, with a perfect record of 16 – 0 and will face the Troy Trojans (Scarlet Team) at the Greenville Middle School diamonds with a 5:30pm start time.
