DARKE COUNTY – On Friday at approximately 12:25 pm, Darke County deputies, along with Arcanum Rescue and New Madison Fire Department, responded to the intersection of US 127 and SR 503 on a reported injury crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed a silver Pontiac Vibe driven by Mathew Willey (26) of Greenville, was traveling northbound on US 127, attempting to make a left turn onto SR 503 and was struck by a northbound black Ford Explorer driven by Matthew Whitehead (44) of Greenville, which was attempting to pass at the intersection.
Willey was transported to Wayne HealthCare for minor injuries, and Whitehead was uninjured.
