Under new head varsity coach Brad Feldner, the Greenville team is working on a rebuilding program, a team that had a minimum of 11 players in 2023.

Seniors Liam Jasenski, Layne Hocker, Adam Edwards, and Owen McGreevey have joined the 2024 team and are playing soccer for the first time.

“Several seniors have come in to play that have never played before,” said Feldner. “They’re learning a lot. Still a few mistakes, but that’s going to happen, and we’re happy to see the improvement we continue to see.”

“We worked real hard the last week on some basic fundamental principles of play,” Coach Feldner continued. “They are starting to catch on to it. The hot week put us a little bit slow because we couldn’t practice as hard, but they’re starting to catch on. We have some good moments and a few unfortunate incidents that resulted in three; otherwise, it’s right there.”

With the loss, the Wave fall to 0-5 in the 2024 season.
