GREENVILLE — The Greenville varsity boys golf team earned a 162-268 victory over West Carrollton at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
“We didn’t play as well as we wanted, but we’ll take the win,” Greenville coach Brian Stickel said. “I think the heat had a little to do with us not focusing as well as we usually do.”
Brody Weaver led the Green Wave with a 39. Baxton Moore shot a 40, Hayden Null carded a 41 and Harper Kerns finished with a 42 to complete Greenville’s four counting scores.
“We struggled on some holes, but they kept grinding away,” Stickel said. “Very proud of the boys.”
Hayden Burns added a 48, and Gibson Steyer finished with a 53 for Greenville.
The Green Wave will travel to Fairborn for a Miami Valley League match against the Skyhawks on Thursday.
“Hopefully, we continue to play well and get another win,” Stickel said.
