GREENVILLE – The Greenville boys basketball program hosted 56 youth to its 2023 boys basketball camp for ages K-6th grade under the direction of head coach Matt Hamilton.
The camp taught the fundamentals of the game during the four day event.
“We were teaching all the fundamentals,” said Coach Hamilton. “How to handle the basketball, passing, defense, all the things they need to start learning young so when they get up through high school they have that down.”
Assisting Coach Hamilton were assistant coaches Dennis Light and Randall Bowman along with several Green Wave high school basketball players.
“By the time they get to high school, if they have bad habits and doing things improperly it’s so hard to break that,” Hamilton stated. “Now is the time to start them while they are young.”
