SPRINGFIELD – The Greenville High School baseball team traveled to Greenon to take on the Knights in a non-conference preseason scrimmage.

“We put the ball in play well and had smart base running,” said Coach Adam Eberwein. “It was nice to see our young players get time on the diamond against a different opponent.

The Green Wave coaching staff was able to use the scrimmage to evaluate the players for the upcoming season.

“We were able to get good evaluations of players at the plate and in the field,” Eberwein stated.

Greenville opens regular season play by hosting the Fairborn Skyhawks in MVL action on Monday, March 25 at Sater Heights Park with a 5 p.m. start time.
