GREENVILLE – Greenville Senior High School celebrated excellence, tradition, and lasting community impact during the 40th Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, held prior to the Green Wave’s non-conference varsity boys basketball game with visiting Wapakoneta.
“Today’s events were emotional, heartwarming, and memorable for everybody involved, especially the families,” said Greenville Hall of Fame Chairman Tim Cundiff. “All their hard work has paid off, and now they are in the Greenville Athletic Hall of Fame.”
The 2026 induction class included Nick Muhlenkamp (Class of 2003), Ally Russell-Bowers (Class of 2015), Ty House (Class of 1974), and Alex Warner (Class of 1967), Mike Fields (Class of 1973), and Megan Galloway-Cole (Class of 2013).
Nick Muhlenkamp was a three-year basketball letterman who averaged double figures as a junior and senior, blocked 50 shots in his senior season, and earned all-county honors.
In track and field, the four-year letter winner qualified for the Division I state meet twice in the high jump, finishing eighth as a senior while setting the school record at 6-7½.
He also received the Jack Raudabaugh Scholar-Athlete Award and the Eugene Phelps Citizenship Award.
Muhlenkamp played three years of collegiate basketball at St. John Fisher College before injury ended his career. He now teaches Economics, AP Government, and AP U.S. History at Byron-Bergen High School in New York and has served as varsity boys track coach for 14 years. He and his wife, Jo, have three children: Mercy, Mikey, and Nicholas.
Ally Russell-Bowers remains one of the most decorated pitchers in Lady Wave softball history, holding career records with 74 wins, 611 strikeouts, and a 1.03 ERA.
She helped lead Greenville to Division II regional finals in 2013 and 2015, earned three first-team GWOC selections, was GWOC North Player of the Year in 2015, a three-time First-Team All-Ohio honoree, and a two-time All-American selection.
Russell-Bowers played four seasons at Wright State University, earning Horizon League Athlete of the Week twice in 2016. She now serves as Corporate Recruiting Supervisor at Kimball Midwest and lives in Troy with her husband, Sam, and children, Boston and Baylor.
Ty House and Dr. Alex Warner became known as the “Voices of the Green Wave and Lady Wave.”
Over 28 years of basketball and 17 years of football coverage, the duo broadcast nearly 500 games, first on Greenville Public Access Television and later via YouTube, covering contests across West Central Ohio and at major collegiate venues.
Both men served on the Greenville City Schools Board of Education, were named Homecoming Grand Marshals, spent more than 20 years as co-chairmen of the Athletic Hall of Fame committee, and continue supporting Greenville athletics through MyCountyLink.com.
House, retired from logistics management with Jarden Corporation, is now a Neave Township trustee. He and his wife, Lita, have two children and four grandchildren.
Warner, a retired chiropractor, and his wife, Kathy, have two daughters and four grandchildren.
Represented by his sister Kathleen, the late Mike Fields earned letters in football, cross country, and swimming, but made his greatest mark in track and field, particularly the pole vault.
As a junior, Fields captured first place at the National Jaycee Track Meet with a vault of 14-0 and later finished second at the state meet with a 14-8 clearance. He again placed second at state as a senior while setting a school record of 15′-2″, a mark that stood for 36 years.
Fields declined a scholarship to the University of Nebraska to join the United States Air Force, but tragically passed away in 1974 from injuries sustained in a construction-site fall.
The late Megan Galloway-Cole, represented by her wife Mackenzie and brothers Craig and Joshua, was a standout Lady Wave basketball post player and two-year volleyball letter winner.
She averaged 8 points, 8 rebounds as a sophomore, 15 points, 10 rebounds as a junior despite injuries, and 15.7 points, 10 rebounds as a senior.
Her honors included first-team GWOC, All-Ohio recognition, and Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game MVP, finishing with 666 points and 476 rebounds.
Galloway-Cole began her collegiate career at the University of Detroit, earning Horizon League Freshman of the Week honors three times before transferring to Miami University, where she totaled 512 points and 484 rebounds in 107 Division I games.
After graduating with honors and earning a law degree from the New York School of Law, she practiced law for the City of New York before her passing in November 2023 due to a sudden cardiac event.
With the addition of the 2026 class, membership in the Greenville Senior High School Hall of Fame now stands at 133. Nomination forms for next year’s induction may be requested through the Greenville Senior High School Athletic Department.
