TROY – Due to the field conditions at both the Greenville Middle School and the GGSA diamonds, the First Round of the Jr. High MVL tournament game between Greenville White (7th Grade) and the 7th Grade Lady Trojans was moved to Troy this evening.
Even with Troy having the “home field advantage”, they were no match for Coach Ryan Brubaker and his aggressive Lady Wave players. Greenville-White took the win tonight, with a final score of 12-2.
With Greenville-Green, the eighth-grade team, having a “bye” in their bracket tonight, tomorrow night’s Quarter Final Round will have Greenville-White and Greenville-Green facing off against each other. Depending upon the weather and field conditions, this match-up will take place at the Greenville Middle School Diamonds on Tuesday night, May 6th, with first pitch at 5:30 pm.
All four rounds of the MVL League Quarter Finals will be played on Tuesday, followed by the Semi-Final Rounds on Wednesday, May 7th, and the Championship Round will be held on Thursday, May 8th. The start time for all tournament games will be 5:30 pm.
