GREENVILLE — Greenville football fans will get an unexpected opportunity to see the Green Wave at home tonight before the start of the 2026 high school football season.
Greenville’s final preseason scrimmage, originally scheduled to be played at Milton-Union, has been moved to Greenville’s Alumni Stadium. The move will allow the teams to play on Alumni Stadium’s artificial turf.
Kickoff remains set for 7 p.m. tonight, Augusut 14.
The change gives Green Wave fans another opportunity to enjoy the new-look Alumni Stadium while getting an early look at this year’s Greenville football team as the players and coaching staff make their final preparations for the regular season.
The concession stand and restrooms will be open for the scrimmage.
Tonight’s action will be the final tuneup for the Green Wave before the games begin to count. Greenville opens its regular season next Friday night on the road against the Eaton Eagles.
With the scrimmage now being played at home, Green Wave supporters have a great opportunity to fill the stands, enjoy a summer evening of high school football, and show their support for the players and coaching staff. Per the original plans, a $5 entry fee will contribute to a worthy cause for a Milton-Union student fighting cancer.
