
GREENVILLE – The Greenville Green Wave dropped a 68-51 Miami Valley League loss to the undefeated Tippecanoe Red Devils Friday night on Greenville’s Night of Champions.
Tippecanoe Red Devils came out sharp early, taking the opening quarter by a 21-13 margin. The Green Wave settled in during the second period and kept the visitors within reach, but Tippecanoe still edged the quarter 16-14 to carry a 37-27 advantage into the halftime break.

Greenville continued to battle in the third quarter, but the Red Devils’ balance and efficiency proved difficult to overcome. Tippecanoe outscored the Green Wave 15-10 in the period to extend its lead to 52-37 with three quarters complete.
The fourth quarter followed a similar pattern, with Tippecanoe maintaining control and outscoring the home team 16-14 to secure the 17-point league victory.

Greenville Green Wave was led offensively by Michael McMahon, who finished with 17 points, including a three-pointer. Johnny Barr added 10 points for Greenville in the setback.
The loss came on a special night for the Green Wave program, as Greenville recognized past champions during the annual Night of Champions ceremony, while Tippecanoe remained unbeaten in Miami Valley League play.
