Frank R. Magoto, age 92, of Versailles passed away peacefully at 1:18 am Sunday, August 30, 2026, at his residence with his wife and daughter at his side.
Frank was born on October 7, 1933, in Versailles to the late Raymond “Frenchie” & Zita (Dapore) Magoto. Frank is also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Magoto; sisters, Alice Swisher, and Julie Hiatt; and brothers, Dick Magoto, Tom Magoto Sr., and Dave Magoto.
Frank is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judith A. (Burman) Magoto whom he married June 18, 1982; children, Mike Magoto of Indiana, Jennifer & Gregg Temple of Englewood, and Kristi Magoto of Dayton; step children, Jeff & Sherry Krznarich of Dayton, Mike & Missy Krznarich of West Chester, and Stephanie Krznarich of Orient; grandchildren, Felicia Fothergill & Jacob Hedges, Kristina & Steve Long, Curtis & Nathalia Fothergill, Sophia Temple, Kaylyn Temple, Brad Krznarich, Kristen & Jeff Woods, Samantha Magoto, Raymond Magoto, Alex Krznarich, Ashley & Dylan Cook, Houston Krznarich, and Haven Krznarich; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Delco Moraine in Dayton with 38 years of service. Frank was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. Frank enjoyed watching sports, he was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, The Ohio State Buckeyes, UD Flyers, and the Versailles Tigers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Ned Brown celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 am at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
