Foundation supports Greenville educators

GREENVILLE – The Greenville Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of grants for 2026. Awards totaling $13,000 were made to assist educators by providing funds to implement or continue programs that help make Greenville the leader in educational offerings, and to maximize the potential of each and every student.

The foundation has its origins back to 1997 and continues to raise money to grow in its ability to provide opportunities for Greenville students of all ages. Each year, applicants detail their needs for resources, and the directors make decisions based on providing the greatest student benefits.

This year’s recipients are: JR Price, Chelsea Whirledge, Julie Brewer, Karla Holsapfel, Rebecca Curtis, Phil Frech, Nicole Hawk, Angelitta Via, and Amanda Sudhoff. They are pictured with Superintendent Julie Jones and members of the foundation board of directors.
