GREENVILLE – The Darke County Agricultural Society held a special meeting Wednesday night to open bids for their new building.

The first bids they opened were for Radiant Heat. This would be the heated flooring in the building. The board received two bids. Curtis Yount moved to accept the bid from Sarver for $72,000 Apollo Perez. The motion passed with no votes coming from Dave Singer, Christoph Keller, Heidi May, and Greg Pearson.

The board then opened a bid for the plumbing. They only received one bid for the plumbing from Northstar for $43,445. All board members voted yes to accept this bid.

The board also opened a bid for the electrical. They only received one bid from Bender Electric for $73,600. All board members voted yes to accept this bid.

The board then opened a bid for Air conditioning. They only received one bid from Northstar for $64,975.50. The price on this bid included taxes; as the fair is tax-exempt, the bid price will go down slightly once the tax is removed. All board members voted yes to accept this bid.

The board also voted on the colors for the new building. They voted and agreed on a grey building with red trim.
